A blog about what daily life was really like in the Middle East and the daily ramblings of an ex-pat mum. That's how I started the blog. We are now home, so I'm just going to continue with life here. I am a deeply committed Christian. I love to teach about and share my faith so you'll see some of that on the blog as well. Got a comment? Please feel to comment at the end of a post. May our Creator's peace be upon you.

Big Fish

Ok, this picture does not do this guy justice. But, this fish was about 24 inches long. The fish here come right at you from the back and zip by close on the side. My new mask is nice because I can see them better as they zip by. I've been working on identifying this guy, but I'm not there yet. He looks like a drum to me (think Red), but he's not. Oh well. He was cool. Uncle B if you read this, any ideas? Here's what I think so far (for those of you who care): Obviously - Class Osteichthyes. Looks kinda like Family Sciaenidae but the caudal fin looks all wrong. So, is this Family Lutjanidae (ie some kind of snapper?). The more I look at this, it's got to be a snapper. It has been WAY too long since I took Ichthyology.

No time to write more. I need to try to put an itinerary together for a Norway trip so we can book plane tickets. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming!
