A blog about what daily life was really like in the Middle East and the daily ramblings of an ex-pat mum. That's how I started the blog. We are now home, so I'm just going to continue with life here. I am a deeply committed Christian. I love to teach about and share my faith so you'll see some of that on the blog as well. Got a comment? Please feel to comment at the end of a post. Sleepy Day

The big silver thing sticking up in the distance is Ski Dubai. Thought you might be interested.

Even though I had today off work, did I manage to go snorkel? No....but I did sleep for 3 hours this afternoon. I can not believe how tired I am. My only guess is that the 'no eating and drinking in public' bit has me a bit 'off.' (Not complaining, mind you.) I did not realize just HOW much our family snacks and goes through water bottles when we are out and about. I think my body is just trying to adjust to the slightly different eating/drinking schedule. The munchkins and I have all been a bit 'off' lately. The husband comes home some days over the lunch hour, so I think he is handling this a bit better.

Tomorrow will hopefully bring a trip into Satwa for fabric, and a trip to the 'dive shop' for a new mask for me. Gee, I hope I get to snorkel tomorrow. It's too dark out now. But that's ok, sleep is a good thing.
