A blog about what daily life was really like in the Middle East and the daily ramblings of an ex-pat mum. That's how I started the blog. We are now home, so I'm just going to continue with life here. I am a deeply committed Christian. I love to teach about and share my faith so you'll see some of that on the blog as well. Got a comment? Please feel to comment at the end of a post. May our Creator's peace be upon you.

Busy, busy, busy!

Yes, this is a weird picture. But, you can kinda see the world reflected in the sunglasses.

It's been busy lately (so what's new right?). This is the first chance I've had to sit and blog for a couple of days now.

Munchkin #1 has another B-Day party to go to today. He's excited. I'm glad he's making friends. And, can't remember if I wrote about this already, Munchkin #2 went on a 'play date' with a friend from school the other day. They seemed to really have fun together. It gives me a peaceful feeling to know that my kids are happy and adjusting to life here. But, we all still can't wait for the cooler weather in Norway next week!

I may be taking a new acquaintance furniture shopping tomorrow. She knows how to get to a couple of places where you can buy wood furniture from India cheap. I've heard about these stores, but I didn't know where they were. There's a style of coffee table we really want made from an old wooden door (from India) with a glass top. In the regular furniture stores, they are super pricey. So, it'll be nice to know where these other options are. We've already got a dining table and chairs, two night stands and two living room end tables from India - really beautiful stuff.

Yesterday, the munchkins and I had to go get a b-day present for today's party. While we were out, I picked up a couple of presents for two ladies back home! Other than my mom and mother-in-law, if you want me to.....send me measurements! I'm happy to bring back more goodies! I've done enough shopping with my mother-in-law and my mom that I already know what will work for them! But for the other ladies in my life, send me measurements. Things here are comfortable, fun and inexpensive. Whoop!

Thanks for the emails of questions. It is so much fun to share things about life here. Like I just told one of my aunts, this place makes me feel like I'm living in a National Geographic article.
