A blog about what daily life was really like in the Middle East and the daily ramblings of an ex-pat mum. That's how I started the blog. We are now home, so I'm just going to continue with life here. I am a deeply committed Christian. I love to teach about and share my faith so you'll see some of that on the blog as well. Got a comment? Please feel to comment at the end of a post. May our Creator's peace be upon you.

Into the Great Wide Open

I was just re-reading the obituary for my grandpa who just passed into the next life. I'm not very old at all, but it seems to me that life passes so very quickly. I feel like I spend so much of my time worrying about petty little detail bits. I played with my husband and kids tonight in the pool. We swam, we made up silly ways to jump into the pool (the frog styles were the best tonight), we threw toys around; we really had fun together. I need to remember to stop, take a breath, re-focus and go for what's really important some days. Like, playing jumping frogs in a swimming pool with my family.

It's a big world, and life is not always easy breezy fun. But, I know I can face the great wide open with help from the ultimate source and the love of my family.

May you stay safe and happy.

Peace.
