A blog about what daily life was really like in the Middle East and the daily ramblings of an ex-pat mum. That's how I started the blog. We are now home, so I'm just going to continue with life here. I am a deeply committed Christian. I love to teach about and share my faith so you'll see some of that on the blog as well. Got a comment? Please feel to comment at the end of a post. May our Creator's peace be upon you.

Stress and De-Stress

The epitome of de-stressing: building a massive fort/tent out of blankets, the sofa and available chairs. Then, watch two kids stuff it with toys and laugh for hours of giggle fun.
The epitome of ex-pat stress: having on a minimal number of flights available to book on to get home for Winter Break. Having kids stressed over foreign language work in school. Driving in heavy dust with no A.C. Ok, maybe this stuff isn't the epitome of ex-pat stress, but I've felt a tad frustrated today.
Maybe I should go crawl in that fort/tent for a bit. Oh yeah, note the Arabic language writing pad on the rug.
