A blog about what daily life was really like in the Middle East and the daily ramblings of an ex-pat mum. That's how I started the blog. We are now home, so I'm just going to continue with life here. I am a deeply committed Christian. I love to teach about and share my faith so you'll see some of that on the blog as well. Got a comment? Please feel to comment at the end of a post. May our Creator's peace be upon you.

New kayak rocks
Yes, it's awesome. Many thanks to the husband for present.
I never would have thought that I'd move to the Middle East and end up enjoying so much time on/in the ocean.
Used to be Somewhere in the Middle East but am now Somewhere in the United States
Greetings and welcome if you are new to Fish are Friends! And welcome back to all my returning readers! I began this blog as a kind of 'on-line' journal of our family's happenings when we found ourselves living in the Middle East. This blog has also become a place for me to air my thoughts and opinions (I am not a reporter. I am only a woman interested in what goes on in the world. Please look to the established press for news. What I write here are my opinions.) If you have comments or differing opinions, feel free to comment. I post what I can of these side discussions. I am no longer an ex-pat, but I love blogging. So, as I weave my way back into the culture I came from I'm going to continue blogging.
